We’re excited to be part of your project and committed to delivering a high-quality fence that enhances your property’s beauty, security, and value. Below, you’ll find important details about what to expect next and how to prepare for installation.
WHAT’S NEXT FROM TEXAS FENCE
Scheduling & Lead Times
- Wood Fence Installations: Typically 3-4 weeks
- Iron Fence Installations: Usually 4-6 weeks (unless special items are ordered)
- Chain Link: 2-4 Weeks
About a week before your scheduled installation, your Project Manager will reach out to finalize your installation date and ensure everything is in place.
Utility Protection
We offer a comprehensive Utility Protection Plan that covers any property damage related to fence construction, including:
✔️ Utility lines
✔️ Sprinkler systems
✔️ Visible and hidden components
Please note that repairs under this plan must be completed by Texas Fence Qualified Vendors, ensuring top-notch quality. Reimbursements for repairs performed by external vendors are not covered.
Utility Locates – 811
Our office will handle all necessary requests to locate and mark underground utility lines before installation, including those under concrete. Whether or not you opt for the underground utility protection fee, we’ll make sure all lines are properly marked for safety and efficiency.
Utility & Sprinkler Line Breaks
If a utility or sprinkler line is damaged during installation, our crew will notify the Project Manager immediately and contact the appropriate authorities. However, sometimes damages can go unnoticed—please notify us promptly if you or your neighbors see anything unusual.
Installation Duration
On average, our crews install:
- 100-125 feet per day for wood fences
- 125-150 feet per day for iron/aluminum fences
- 150-200 feet per day for chain link fences
Gates and custom features may slightly extend these timelines.
Destruct to Construct
Before your new fence goes up, your property will briefly become a construction zone. This may temporarily affect the appearance of your landscape, but don’t worry! Flattened grass and displaced soil will settle naturally after a good rain or a few sprinkler cycles.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR YOU
1.
Preparing Your Space
To help our crews work efficiently, please clear at least 18 inches of space on both sides of the fence line.
2.
Notifying Your Neighbors
Let your neighbors know about the upcoming fence installation! Many times, neighbors are willing to share the cost of the new fence.
3.
Pet & Animal Safety
If you or your neighbors have pets, make arrangements to keep them secure during installation.
4.
Ivy & Vine Removal
Property owners are responsible for removing ivy and vines before installation. If removal isn’t completed prior to our arrival, a removal and disposal fee will be added to your final invoice.
5.
Mosquito Systems
If you have a mosquito misting system attached to your fence, it must be removed before installation begins. Any system left on the fence will be removed and discarded along with the old fence.
6.
Paying the Balance
The remaining balance for your project is due upon receipt of your emailed invoice. Payment options include:
✔️ Mailing a check
✔️ Calling our office with a credit card
✔️ Paying online via credit card
✔️ Financing through Synchrony
If you’ve opted for automatic payment, you’ll receive an email receipt for the transaction.
We appreciate your trust in Texas Fence, and we’re committed to making your fence installation a seamless experience. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Project Manager or our office.
We can’t wait to bring your vision to life!
